The Backpack is the backpack of Dylan Beekler which she used for school. In the Pilot episode, Golan used a spell on it to bring it to life. The Backpack became a grotesque being who mad the magic and knowledge to tell them what happened to the Gkruoolian Tome of Infinite Evil in return for them giving him a bride.
